It’s Friday & that means cookie exchange day! But not just round cookies lets fill our container with sweet treats – so here some classic bar cookies.
Definition of bar cookie. : a sweetened baked good that is made from a dough, is typically denser than cake, and is cut into a rectangular or square shape.
Lemon Bars
- 1 C soft butter
- 21/2 C flour
- 1/2 C powder sugar
- 2 C granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 eggs beaten
- 4 T tablespoon lemon juice
Mix butter ,2 c flour & owdwer sugar -put in ottom of a 81/2 x131/2 pan. Bake at 325 for 15 minutes. Sift sugar, flour & baking powder and Add eggs & lemon juice- Mix and spread over top. Bake for 25 minutes. Frost with powder sugar & lemon juice -cut into bars. Lisa
