Today it’s National Pie Day !
Now I am not much of a baker but my Grandma was a wonderful Pie maker. GG always baked wonderful pie for all occasions- some of my favorite memories are of her great pie.

So today’s post is all about Pie in honor of Grandma
Grandma Lemon Ice box Pie
- 1 small box vanilla wafers
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 3 lemons
- 3 eggs separated
- 1/4 c sugar for meringue
C rush 12/18 wafers and spread in bottom of pie tin. Place whole wafers around the side. In a bowl -milk,egg yolks &mix. Add juice of lemons & mix until thick.
Make meringue by beating egg whites until peaks-add sugar and beat until glossy.
Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown, Chill in icebox for about 1 hour. Lisa
