Monday menu – Beer Can Chicken ( you can also buy a stand to hold chicken upright)-but this works just as well. Lisa 


  •  1 whole Chicken (cleaned & seasoned) 
  • A beer/pop can to hold Chicken filled 1/2 with liquids ( can be stock,bear,juice or pop or a combination.Placed on a cooking surface, (cast iron skillet)
  • Stand chicken up on the can & fill whole with chopped Seasoning & whole lemon (also use small potato)
  • Place strips of bacon to top to keep moist while cooking
  • Place on grill

Cook the chicken over medium-high, indirect heat (i.e. no coals or burners on directly under the bird), with the grill cover on, for approximately 1 1/4 hours or until the internal temperature registers 165 degrees F in the breast area and 180 degrees F in the thigh, or until the thigh juice runs clear when stabbed
