Apple Hand Pies

  • 2 C finely chopped apples
  • 2 T toffee bits
  • 11/2 T sugar
  • 1/2 t lemon juice
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1 T butter ( chopped in pieces)
1 Box of pie crust . thawed out .
Directions :
  In medium bowl, stir together apples, toffee bits, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon. Roll out pie dough  out & cut 3 in circles ( about 12 ). Place on greased cookie sheet -Brush dough with half of the beaten egg. Spoon about 1 tablespoon apple mixture on each round to within 1/2 inch of edge; top each with 1 cube of butter. Top pies with remaining 12 dough rounds; press edges together with fork to seal. Brush with remaining beaten egg. Bake at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes.
