Homemade Cinnamon Raisin English Muffins

It’s Saturday & my sons home from college ! Time to try a new recipe for breakfast : 

 

 

Whole-Wheat-English-Muffins-3

  • 1 C milk
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1/4 C  margarine
  • 4 C flour
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 1 package yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c Raisins
  • 1/4 c corn meal
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 T cinnamon

Heat – milk,water and butter. In a large boil – Add liquid,2 C flour,sugar,cinnamon,yeast,salt & eggs. Mix well add in the rest of flour and raisins. Leave covered until it double in size. Knead & roll out into 3in circles, Lightly press in corn meal and place on cookie sheet and let raise a second time. Bake at 375 for 8 minutes turn with spatula and bake another 8 minutes.  Let Cool and split .
