Mama Thanksgiving Cornbread Dressing :

It’s always a big occasion around here as the whole family gets together and celebrate. Lisa

Cornbread Dressing –

  • 6 C  of cornbread ( 1 jiffy/1 regular
  • 11/2 chopped onion
  • 1  green pepper chopped
  • 2 1/2 lb of chicken livers & gizzard mix Ground fine)
  • 1/4 c bunches green onion chopped
  • 1/4 C parsley
  • 1/4 C oil
  • salt & pepper to taste

In a large skillet heat oil and brown livers & gizzards. Add  vegetables and cook until soft. Cook slow and low for about 2 hours adding water as needed. Stir in cornbread ,parsley and onion tops . You can place in casserole and brown top before serving.
