It’s always a big occasion around here as the whole family gets together and celebrate. Lisa
Cornbread Dressing –
- 6 C of cornbread ( 1 jiffy/1 regular
- 11/2 chopped onion
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 2 1/2 lb of chicken livers & gizzard mix Ground fine)
- 1/4 c bunches green onion chopped
- 1/4 C parsley
- 1/4 C oil
- salt & pepper to taste
In a large skillet heat oil and brown livers & gizzards. Add vegetables and cook until soft. Cook slow and low for about 2 hours adding water as needed. Stir in cornbread ,parsley and onion tops . You can place in casserole and brown top before serving.
