Shrimp and Corn Soup for the Winter

Thursday’s Recipe is for a Winter family favorite ! Shrimp and Corn Soup  that you can make on the stove or in the crockpot for winter eating ! Perfect to use those leftover Shrimp from earlier in the year or small frozen shrimp from the supermarket. Get Cooking –  Lisa 





  • 1/3 C oil
  • 3 T flour
  • 2 onions chopped fine
  • 1 bell pepper chopped
  • 1 lb shrimp ( cleaned 0
  • 2 T parsley
  • 1 can of whole peeled tomatoes un drained
  • 1 can whole kernel corn  (1/2 drain)
  • 1 c water
  • salt & pepper to taste

Make a roux with oil and flour ( golden brown)  Add onions -and cook 15 minutes. Add bell pepper,shrimp,parsley -simmer a few minutes and Add tomatoes,corn and water. Simmer at least one hour adding water when need. Serves 6.   Lisa
