Road trip Monday is Here: College Life
Welcome to University of Louisiana at Lafayette,la.

We are smart, spirited, and seeking solutions.
The first brick was laid in 1900, and then classes began in September 1901. Enrollment topped out at 145 students. A few classrooms dotted a patch of barren farmland. Degree programs included agriculture, stenography and mechanics.
We’re the second-largest university in Louisiana, with over 19,000 students, and offer bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Our offerings range from the humanities to hard sciences, and we are among the nation’s leaders in areas such as computer science, environmental biology, and nursing. We are among the top 180 universities in the United States in R&D expenditures. And we are the only university in the world whose sports teams are the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns®; our student-athletes compete at the highest level of NCAA competition.
Only University with it’s on Swamp & alligators on campus. Cypress Swamp
The night before the ring ceremony, rings are loaded onto a custom-built metal pirogue to spend the night on the water, guarded by students.

Move In Day ! Home for Sophomore year
This weekend was move in time for upper class man. We spent a rainy Saturday packing up and moving in at the Dorms . #ragincaguns

Jon actually lived here last year on the 4th flour. He loved the location and size of the rooms he requested to come back here – this year on the 3rd flour. It’s one of the oldest dorms on campus and not everything works (elevator goes out) all the time but it makes up for it in room size. Lisa
