- 3/4 lb Butter
- 1/2 lb Sugar
- 3 C shifted Flour
- 2 Eggs
- Almonds slices
- Cinnamon and Sugar mixture
Option : you can add 2 tsp of Amaretto liqueur to this recipe . For add almond flavor.
Shift flour and sugar. Cut in the Butter and knead. Add eggs in one at a time. Knead again and place in a covered bowl in the refrigerator for one hour. Then on a floured board – roll out dough thinly and cut into rounds. Coat with egg wash and place almond slices in the center and dust with cinammon and sugar. Bake at 350 until light brown.
