2 Corinthians 12 :9 Verse: But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Grace is do honor or credit to (someone or something) by one’s presence. the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.
Grow in Grace :
The one thing we all need to do more is to grow in the love of God and in His grace and knowledge and trust him in our time of need. Lisa
Happy Friday ! In my part of the World it’s gray and rainy this Friday . What’s the weather where you are at ?
Today we celebrate National Card Playing Day ! A fitting time of the year since as a child I remember seeing adults sitting down to play cards after lunch dishes where cleared, The card tables where set up and the playing would start in : South Louisiana the game was Bourré (also commonly known as Bouré and Boo-Ray) is a trick taking card game played in this are. And Grandpa was the towns champ.
The object of the Game:
The object of Bourré is to take a majority of the tricks in each hand and thereby claim the money in the pot. If a player cannot take a majority of tricks, the secondary goal is to keep from bourréing, or taking no tricks at all. A bourré usually comes at a high penalty, including matching the amount of money in the pot.
It’s played with a regular deck of cards and For each deal, players ante to a pot. Five cards are dealt to each player, one at a time, face down, beginning with the player on the left. The dealer then turns up the next card, which is designated the trump suit, and then he announces this suit. These games went on for hours and sometimes longer. As people dropped out and friends and neighbors dropped in for a while.
But in Grandma house the playing was always noisy and the pot on the table was limited but it was away for the older generation to take a break ,gossip and have fun, Depending on number of players it always came down to bragging right to who was the best in the family. Now that generation is gone from the house and the game has been replaced by other things but maybe I can find someone to teach me a few tricks.
Today is our last day of Holiday’s of Festival ! Today I am celebrating New Year : The end and Beginning of a New Tear :Today we celebrate in Pink to honor the Year of the Pig . Lisa

My New Year Snow Globe card that I drew for 2019 celebration. Let’s ring in the New Year with a party.
I am Lucky we celebrate 2 New Years. Chinese New Year this year is Feb 5th, And we celebrate the Year of the PIG.
The Pig is the twelfth of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. Pig was late because he overslept. Another story says that a wolf destroyed his house. He had to rebuild his home before he could set off. When he arrived, he was the last one and could only take twelfth place.
Pigs have a beautiful personality and are blessed with good fortune in life.
We celebrate family and ancestors with food ,family and fun. Lisa
