National Dog Day *

This is Charlie our  7 year old  Beadle – Just Chilling Today !

Sending out Hugs to all the pets today !!   Lisa

National Dog Day is observed annually on August 26th.

This day encourages dog ownership of all breeds, mixed and pure, and embraces the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe and abuse-free life.  Dogs give us companionship; they keep us safe, and they aid those in need.  It is a goal for many on National Dog Day to find homes for all dogs in need of a loving family.  The goal of the National Dog Day Foundation is to rescue 10,000 dogs each year.

Good Morning –Let me introduce you to Charlie!

I thought I would tell you little about our  dog. Charlie is a beagle.  We bought him from  a loving family with a house full of dogs. Charlie’s Mom was a short petite beagle and his Dad (Elvis) was a standard beagle. My son waded into the pen and picked the one that came to him. We named him after the famous beagle Charlie Brown ( Clifford was close). He was a cute little thing that grow into a beagle like his  Dad.

Charlie is now about 5 years old and share our home with 2 Cats. I must say that our cat Luna runs the house but Charlie doesn’t seem to mind. Charlie mains thought is when his next meal is or where he can take a nap. Or what the squirrels outside are up to. We have a large black squirrel in the tree that Charlie has made a mission to tree and chase.  Good Luck to both of them. Lisa

Here one of Charlie favorite treats recipes-

Okay –this is just a basic recipe and can be changed up many ways –

“Incredible! You’ll be on the edge of your seat to see if the heroine can make it out alive.”-Catherine Coulter, New York Times bestselling author

When adrenaline runs high, so does the force of desire…

For Shay Appleton, it’s love at first sight when a gorgeous stray dog is brought into the animal shelter where she works. She just knows he’ll make a terrific watch dog-and with an abusive ex who won’t let go, she needs all the protection she can get. But Shay never suspected that her new pet is actually a trained police K-9 named Bogart-until Bogart’s even more gorgeous, human partner shows up on her doorstep.

Officer James Cannon is one tall, strong alpha male who’s convinced that Shay stole his dog. But once he gets closer to the suspect, he realizes that this stubborn, independent woman not only needs a guard dog, she needs James as well. It seems that someone from her past is stalking her, and threatening her life. When danger meets desire, will James risk his career and his best friend…to protect the woman who’s stolen his heart?

A veteran author of romance and women’s fiction, D.D. Ayres is new to Romantic Suspense. She believes the lure of romance is always the human connection. Put that connection in physical jeopardy, and and we learn a bit moreabout who we really are.

With her K-9 Rescue series, D.D. hopes you will enjoy her sexy, suspenseful portrayals of K-9 teams at their best.

D.D. lives in Texas with her husband and a soft-coated Wheaten terrier named Zoe.

My review of this series- A great book series featuring K9 dogs and there hot handler. Each book features a great dog and a hot alpha male protecting there love interest. Book 1 -features James his K9 dog Bogart and Shay who finds Bogart at the shelter and takes care of him. An outstanding series for any romantic suspense fans. Lisa
