It’s a Sunny Tuesday Morning!
And today book post is about the Library. My small town less than 2000 people operate on a volunteer system. It’s only opened 2 days a week for 6 hours but its a great place for kids to get homework help, Adults to meet & use the computers. And yes check out a book but it’s also part of a bigger system where you can get books from all over.
Our Library uses Overdrive to borrow digital books. Perfect for that student that needs a book for a special project or report. Are you looking for the Newest Release.
OverDrive is a free service offered by your library or school that lets you borrow digital content (like eBooks and audiobooks) anytime, anywhere. Every OverDrive collection is slightly different because each library or school picks the digital content they want for their users.
All you need to get started with free digital content from your library or school is an internet connection and a library card or student ID.

Garfield The Cat Day is celebrated annually on 19th June. The day is set aside to honour all things related to the ginger feline. Garfield was famously created by cartoonist Jim Davis and appeared in a cartoon strip on 19th June 1978. Garfield’s owner: Jon Arbuckle and his dog friend; Odie, also appear in the cartoon strip.
The world renowned comic strip featuring Garfield is set in Muncie, Indiana. Topical subjects focussed on are: obsessive eating, love for consuming lasagne and a distaste of Mondays. Davis took the human faculties, that we do not like discussing and anthropomorphised them in our ginger friend.

Like every great lasagna, Garfield was born in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant on a winter’s night in 1978, while outside snow fell like grated Parmesan cheese. He weighed five pounds, six ounces at birth–that’s big for a kitten!–and right from the start showed a passion for Italian food. The restaurant owner, forced to choose between Garfield and closing his doors for lack of pasta, sold Garfield to a pet store. Garfield thought he was a goner until Jon Arbuckle walked in the door.
