Monday Project – Fabric gifts

Hello –  Monday ! I thought i would start may week off with my first Project with some fabric gifts- My mother was a sewer and made all my sister and mine closeth  from an  early age. i learned the basic but it was years later that I actually used that talent to make something. A quilt for my Grandmother. Now most people start little but might fist item was a yellow and blue quilt to cover her bed at the nursing home. I used a kit I bought at JoAnn fabric and taught myself to quilt. It was partially hand quilted and partily machine quilted – I made lots of mistakes but it was a learning experience. This is a full size quilt that was issued as a block a month kit. I made this about 20 years ago. The colors have faded after may washes – but the memories are there. Lisa   Now I don;t think You have time to do a whole quilt but maybe something small. Like the postcard size quilt below. Made with what i had on hand. It’s small in size that can be mailed if needed. Perfect to use up you fabric leftovers. Post card size- 4×6 . Finished by Zig zagging edges. Ribbon,lace buttons and flowers in your choice of colors.
