Thanks for joining me at the Library for some fun. Today we are celebrating Christmas at the library. So enjoy our book and stop bye our craft table to learn how to make Christmas trees out of old paperbacks and magazines…. Lisa

Today’s Library Read along & Book :

The Pinkalicious book series is written and illustrated by Victoria Kann. The first two books, Pinkalicious and Purplicious, were co-written with her sister, Elizabeth Kann. The stories are about Pinkalicious Pinkerton and her younger brother Peter who live in Pinkville and love the color pink.

The stories center on a girl named Pinkalicious and is told in first person narrative. Pinkalicious, as her name implies, has a love for things which are pink whether they are at school, home, or outdoors. The books are based on Victoria’s two daughters, and their love for the color pink.https://pbskids.org/pinkalicious

Today’s class :

And after the Book reading – stop bye the Craft Table where I will be having fun making these trees from old magazines. They are a great way to recycle and can be decorated after making or left plain,

One page at a time fold the magazine pages in starting with the top corner and crease.  Continue this pattern until every page has been folded and the tree begins to take shape.  You may need to add a bit of glue to the first and last pages, but once you get started the pages should stay on their own.

If you are interest in Christmas needle work :

There’s still time to make something with the collection of books and patterns recently donated to the Library. Thanks to everyone that donates to our community library. It means so much to everyone. Lisa

Thanks for stopping bye the Library. Next week we will be celebrating a Louisiana Christmas ….. Lisa
