About Sugar Moon Designs:

Hello, I’m Crystal from Sugar Moon Designs. I create digital scrapbooking products for all your sweet
memories! These kits are available in my shop at MyMemories.I have always loved photography, scrapbooking and graphic design. When I discovered a way to put all three of these things together I was hooked! My goal is always to try and create kits that I like to use. I love people’s stories and I want to help people tell and preserve their memories in a way that reflects their uniqueness! Everyone has a story to tell and want to help peple find their creative voice, I want people to find kits that are original or have a different twist, I want to enhance andshow off people’s memories and stories – not overwhelm them!
I have always loved to bake, (and eat, I mean look at my logo!) I think it’s come down to me through a long line of women who were wonderfulbakers! I’d love to share a delicious recipe with you, a good friend of mine introduced me to the Moosewood Cookbookwhen I was in college. This is the bannana bread recipe from the Moosewood Restaurnat and believe me,you will not be disapointed!
The mini kit gift I’m giving you is part of and also an add-on to the kit I have called, “Baked with Love” andit’s available at MyMemories in the Sugar Moon Design shop. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you can scrapsome wonderful memories of baking, cooking and eating with it! Don’t forget to scrap some of yourfavorite recipes and family recipes – after my mom passed away there were so many of her dishes that no oneknew how to make because she just kept that in her head. I would have treasured a cookbook that she put together of just her everyday recipes like meatloaf and potato salad, not just the fancy recipesbut the ones you eat and love everyday!
Thanks for participating in this challenge! Enjoy and make sure to stop by!

Banana Bread
Beat in a large bowl, beginning with sugar and butter, add eggs one at a time. Add remaining ingredients and beat until light in color.1 Cup Butter (softened)1-1/3 Packed Brown Sugar3 Eggs (room temperature)2 tsp. Vanilla1/4 tsp Almond Extract1 tsp grated orange rind

Sift these ingredients together:2 cups whole wheat flour2 cups all purpose flour1 tsp salt1/2 tsp Baking Soda3 tsp Baking Powder1/4 tsp Nutmeg2 tsp Cinnamon

1-1/2 cups mashed ripe banana2/3 cup black coffee pureed together
Optional: 3/4 cups ground walnuts
Add flour mixture and grated carrot alternately to butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour. After each addition, mix gently to combine, but do not beat or otherwise overmix – this toughens and dries out the dough. Add any nuts or raisins last. Generously grease 2 loaf pans, divide batter and bake 40-50 minutes.Cool 10 minutes in the pan and then remove to finish cooling.

Sugar Moon Design for supplying the Free kit to my blog this month. Please check out there shop and face book page for more great kits, Lisa
