In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress

Paintfive sticks red and four sticks white. Allow the paint to dry. 2-inch square out of the blue construction paper and paint 9 white stars.  Let dry and make the flag :

  1. Break one of the remaining craft sticks in half.
  2. Line up the red and white craft sticks in alternating colors side by side one another and flip them over so their backs face up.
  3. Glue the long remaining craft stick down the right side of the backs of the painted sticks so it extends past the bottom.
  4. Glue one of the two broken pieces down the center of the painted sticks, and the remaining half down the left side.
  5. Allow the glue to dry, then flip the sticks over.
  6. Glue the blue construction paper square to the upper left-hand corner of your flag. Allow the glue to dry.

1 box yellow cake mix Water,

vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box 

1 container creamy vanilla frosting or whipped vanilla frosting

1/3 cup fresh blueberries

1 pint (2 cups) fresh strawberries, stems removed, strawberries cut in half
