Candle of Hope

The first Sunday of Advent .We light the first purple candle that represents Prophecy and Hope of the coming Messiah.

Our Bible reading:

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)

This first candle represents hope or expectation in anticipation of the coming Messiah.

Roman 15 : 13 and 13 : They will place their Hope on him.
