Slow-cooking our food has been around for centuries–and feeding babies, well, that’s been happening even longer.

In this book, we combine a fabulous and convenient way to cook (in most cases, just add a few fresh ingredients to a slow cooker, set the heat level, and walk away!) with new and wonderful ways to feed babies as they transition from a diet of breast milk and/or formula to the amazing, tasty world of solid foods.
Now you can prepare, puree and store a batch of foods and meals easily when you cook with the slow cooker. Cook baby and family meals during the day and prepare the meal later on. You can then store meals in the fridge or freezer for easy access to future meals.
From purees and fruit sauces to cereals, spoon and finger foods and meals the whole family will enjoy!

Biography

Hi! I’m Maggie Meade, mom of 3 (twins and a singleton), cooking enthusiast, nature lover, explorer, hiker, web designer/developer and of course, author. You may know me from The Wholesome Baby Food Guide, my first book published in 2012. That book was based on the popular homemade baby food website I created in 2003, WholesomeBabyFood.com (now a part of Momtastic.com).

My recipe books and baby food websites aim to be complete resources for parents who are starting their babies on solid foods and looking to introduce fresh and tasty homemade baby and family favorite foods. The books and websites are research based and recommended by nutritionists, pediatricians and the most important recommendations I get come from fellow parents. My writings combine my personal experience, personal recipes and tips for making fresh homemade baby food. All 3 of my children enjoyed homemade baby foods – even my twins! Yes, it’s so simple that parents with multiples can do it.

My new The Slow Cooker Baby Food Cookbook is a guide for introducing solid foods, containing nutritional information along with information and exclusive delicious recipes.

I live in New Hampshire with my husband, and twin boys, a German Shepard and an older son soon to be moving back to settle in the area (yay). It’s nice to meet you
