And we are sharing our towns fore department fundraiser. In our small town as in many others our fire department is volunteer. And when they need extra money all hands are on deck for a BBQ,Bingo and music fundraiser. So join us for a fun time:
Mr. Lenard and the crew are manning the grills for BBQ chicken.
And everyone else joins in from selling tickets,cooking, donating prizes or helping out at the event.
Baked Beans for a crowd :
- 3 Large cans of Bushes beans (Country style)
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1/2 lb Bacon cooked/drained
- 1/4 C Molasses
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1 tsp dry yellow mustard
Open cans and pour in crock pot. Fry bacon and cook onions till tender. Drain and Add to beans.
Add all Ingredients together. Stir well.
Cook covered on high in crock pot about 2 hrs. til onions are cooked.
* Can be cooked in sauce pan:
If Using “sauce pan”, Simmer about 2 Hrs, on med-Low. Being careful to watch your pan and stir Often.
