Today in my kitchen is my Mom favorite flavor Lemon. So here;s a great pie recipe and check out my Southern Lemon Scones recipe here on my blog with a book that would make a special gift combo: Lisa
Lemon Chiffon Pie :
- 9 inch pastry shell /baked
- Whipped cream
- 1 tsp grated lemon grind
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 C fresh Lemon juice
- 1 C Sugar
- 4 Eggs /separated
- 1/4 C Water
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
Soften gelatin in cold water. Slightly beat egg yolk,1/2 C sugar,lemon juice and salt. Place in double boiler and let thicken (stir) Add soften gelatin and stir. Let Cool. In another bowl mix egg whites and 1/2 C sugar beat until fluffy and add to custard. Place this into prepared shell and Let Chill and firm up. , Add cool whip and serve.
