Another week of stay at home is done. And everyone her is doing okay. Spent a quite Easter and Good Friday but did find some time to get out in the yard. After all the rain we had the yard is filled with dandelion. Time for lotion bars.

Making the oil:

Lotion Bars :

  1. Measure out the beeswax, shea butter, and dandelion oil into a canning jar or heatproof container. I use a recycled tin can for this project for ease of cleanup.( about 3/4 C each)
  2. Set the container of ingredients down into a pan containing an inch or two of almost simmering water, creating a makeshift double boiler.
  3. Allow the water to indirectly heat the contents until the beeswax is melted. Overheated shea butter can get grainy, so keep a close eye on the mixture and remove from heat as soon as it appears melted.
