- ! tablespoon of shortening
- 1/2 C chopped onions
- 1 Pound ground Deer/ Pork meat
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 1 101/2 oz can tomato soap
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoon chili blend
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- Salt/pepper to taste.
- You can add beans but we are a Non bean family.
Melt shortening- add onions & cook till soften. Add meat & brown. Add rest of ingrediants and cook. Longer the better. Lisa
- No Deer use ground beef.

Southern Corn Bread
- 1 C white cornmeal
- 1/2 C flour
- 11/2 Teaspoon salt
- ! teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 C milk
- 1/2 C boiling water
- 3 tablespoon corn oil
- 1 Egg
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon baking powder
Mix- flour,salt,sugar & corn oil. Stir in water. Mix add milk. Let stand till cool. Add eggs & baking powder. In a greased pan sponn in mixture- cook at 425 until brown .
