Louisiana * Fall Festival Season

Hello September! Hello Sunshine !

We made it through another Hurricane  without damages -so we are blessed. And the Sun is shining. In September in Louisiana thew weather is -wet ,leaves falling and only a small change of temperature happening usually at night.  Perfect time for SEC football and fall festival time. 82nd Annual Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival

Location:
Lawrence Park, Berwick Bay & under the bridge

Downtown Historic District Morgan City, LA 70380

Shrimp & Petroleum Festival Cajun CoastA 5-day extravaganza paying tribute to two, time-honored industries, features great food, continuous free live music, arts & crafts, children’s activities, and traditional events, such as the blessing of the fleet and boat parade.

 

Sugar Cane Festival – New Iberia, LA – Sep 20 to Sep 24, 2017
Annual event for 70+ years hosted by the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival Association.

New Orleans Horror Film Festival – New Orleans, LA – Sep 21 to Sep 24, 2017
The NOHFF is held in the French Quarter at the Inn on Bourbon Hotel.

Alligator Festival – St. Charles Parish (Luling), LA – Sep 22 to Sep 24, 2017
Music, food, arts & crafts, golf tournament, 5K race and 1/2 mile kids run. Held at West Bank Bridge Park, it is a fundraiser for The Rotary Club of St. Charles Parish.

Louisiana Hot Air Balloon Championship Festival – Gonzales, LA – Sep 22 to Sep 23, 2017
A combination of hot air balloons, music, food and entertainment at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center. Admission is $2 for adults, free for kids 12 and under.

      1. Yay for sunshine! Poor Texas!
        I’ve been so worried about my mother-in-law. There’s a major storm on the east coast. She’s 96 years old and just had a series of TIA’s. She has 24 help but it still concerns me.
