Good Reads Yes or No

Tuesday – Social  Post is all about Good Reads.  I am a book lover from a Book loving family. I am a long time Good Read member but i find myself using it less to find books and chat in groups.  There;s been some controversy over  Good Reads since Amazon bought them about the reviews but I try as a reader and reviewer stay away from that. But it’s nice that my Kindle and Good reads accounts are linked together so my book are on both sites. And I can post one review and they show up on both place.

I know a lot of authors use it for group chats, giveaways and Promotions but I really go there for that. I use it more of a catalog of what I am reading or have read,

I had an earlier account but at this time –

On My Book shelf-   1090  books read since 2016.

* Do You use Good Reads ?  How do you use it ?  How many books on your self ?

Sealed with a Kiss

Today is June 30 th- and the last day of our Wedding Event @ Lisa Everyday Life. I hope you have enjoyed the Post and maybe found something interesting.  Lisa

Our Last Doodle will be a Kiss ! No not the Band (telling my age)

Lips, kiss colored

A Kiss can Mean many things for many people –

In some situations, a kiss is a ritual, formal or symbolic gesture indicating devotion, respect, or sacrament. The word came from Old English cyssan (“to kiss“), in turn from coss (“a kiss“).

Some anthropologists have suggested that the Greeks learned about erotic kissing from the Indians when Alexander the Great invaded India in 326 BC. However, this need not mean that kissing originated in India, or indeed that it does not predate the oral roots of the Vedic texts.

In a Wedding  Ceremony It comes After I pronounce you man and wife.

Originally, it was assumed that the bride and groom had not kissed before the wedding so this would traditionally be their first kiss, and in Roman times kissing was a legal bond that sealed all contracts. However, though many ceremonies do include this line, the kiss is not   traditionally a part of the religious ceremony. But now enjoyable part that seals the marriage between two people.

Today Wedding Tradition is part superstition – in that in My case I borrowed my Wedding Veil . I was having my hair done by a friend and I had not purchase one and she offered hers.   So it became my borrowed item for my wedding. But the Veil can have many symbols in many countries and religion.  Which make it a tradition for many brides.  Lisa

So my Question is ? Did you have one? Length?

Bridal Veil Length Guide = Shoulder 20″- 22″ Inches , Elbow Length 30″- 34″ Inches, Fingertip Length 38″- 42″ Inches, Walking/Waltz 60″- 70″ Inches, Chapel Length 90″ Inches and Cathedral Length 108″ Inches.

Wedding Veil Wishes Series

Legend claims this antique Irish wedding veil can grant your heart’s deepest desire. But be careful what you wish for…
The moment Texas socialite Delaney Cartwright touches the veil, she knows she can’t go through with her wedding. And it’s not just because she envisions a stranger’s dark eyes and irresistible lips the second her fingers hit lace. But she can’t simply call the whole thing off. The nuptials to her nice, predictable childhood friend are the social event of the season (not to mention that her mother would freak). To fan the flames of this dying ember, Delaney abducts her fiance for a night of passion…and grabs the wrong guy! It isn’t her fault that Detective Nick Vinetti of the oddly familiar eyes and lips has crossed her path–and looks game for all kinds of sexy fun.
Now Delaney hatches an outrageous plan to get out of marrying: she’ll hire her own kidnapper. With an altar to avoid and a cop to dream of, this runaway bride is hoping a little Irish magic will unveil the true destiny of her heart.

An airplane or aeroplane (informally plane) is a powered, fixed-wing aircraft that is propelled forward by thrust from a jet engine or propeller. Airplanes come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and wing configurations. The broad spectrum of uses for airplanes includes recreation, transportation of goods and people, military, and research. Commercial aviation is a massive industry involving the flying of tens of thousands of passengers daily on airliners. Most airplanes are flown by a pilot on board the aircraft, but some are designed to be remotely or computer-controlled.

The Wright brothers invented and flew the first airplane in 1903, recognized as “the first sustained and controlled heavier-than-air powered flight”

And my favorite Airplane Movie –

If Your Summer Vacation Planes include an Airplane Ride-

Children Book

A first airplane ride can be very exciting! Watching planes take off and land, going through security, walking the jet way, finding the right seat, watching out the window as the plane taxis down the runway, and flying up high in the sky and then, at the other end, Grandma waiting with a hug! Nancy Speir’s acrylic illustrations deftly interpret the wonder and joy of a child’s first plane-trip adventure.

Summer Reading Camps

Hello Friday – It’s another wet day in Louisiana but schools out here and I’am thinking about Summer Break.  One fun thing you can do is – a Summer Reading Camp !

Why Reading Camp ?

The research is clear that children who don’t read during the summer can lose up to three months of reading progress and that loss has a cumulative, long-term effect.
