
Welcome to our Summer Reading Camp at the Library . This week we celebrate camping with the family and Fathers Day.
John’s Camping Adventure: Does your family time consist of going camping? This Fun book about camping is great to bring along on your next camping trip.
It’s about a young boy named John who experiences camping for the first time, learning about nature while he experiences new firsts in his life like catching a fish, hiking, and collecting keepsakes. But most of all John loves spending time with his family on the weekends.

Saturday 2pm Movie : Daddy Day Camp
fathers attempt to keep their summer camp afloat even though they are under dire economic strain.
- 3 cups rice chex
2 cups corn chex
2 cups Cheez-It crackers
2 cups pretzel sticks
2 cups Bugles
½ cup unsalted butter
½ cup brown sugar
2 tsp honey
1 tsp sea salt
1 cup Reese’s Pieces candy
- Preheat oven to 300°
- Combine cereal, Cheez-Its, pretzels, and Bugles, in a large bowl. Stir to mix.
- In a small bowl, melt butter in microwave. Whisk in honey, brown sugar, and sea salt until smooth. You may need to microwave everything another 15 seconds to help it melt.
- Pour butter mixture over snack mix and stir until everything is evenly coated.
- Spread the mix out evenly on a parchment lined baking sheet, and bake 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to break up any chunks.
- Let cool on baking sheet, stirring occasionally to break up.
- When cool transfer to a large bowl, and stir in candy.
