A quirky and funny series for fans of a good mystery and compelling characters.
The sun is shining over Framlingham and Penny and Izzy are busier than ever, helping people to create entries for the upcoming scarecrow festival at the castle on the hill.
Izzy has a very unusual project to construct, while Penny is distracted by the handsome birdwatcher visiting the local nature reserve.
However, when a woman falls to her death from the walls of Framlingham Castle, right at Penny’s feet, they cannot help but turn their attention to her mysterious death.
Was it suicide or an accident? Who was that shadowy figure seen by the woman’s side shortly before her fatal fall? And how did they get up there without being seen?
Forced to join forces with rival dressmaker Carmella, can Penny and Izzy uncover the truth and save the scarecrow festival from disaster?
If you enjoy fast-paced mysteries, charming country towns and characters who you want to spend hours with then this is the book for you.

My Scarecrow Craft
Paint or paint pens
Terra cot pots
Flowers or accessories
Modge podge for sealer
You can buy new pots at any local craft. Hobby or big.box store. I like the small ones. For decorating. With paint paint the face and top band for hat. Glue on Flowers or other decorations. You can seal with modge podge to seal the paint.
How to display:
I like making a collection of the small ones for decorating on table. But one large painted pot filled with Mums is a perfect Fall touch.
