Angel Biscuit Recipe

Happy Saturday ! Are you ready for dome Football :

Today starts the College Football season around here ! So before you leave for the Stadium and Tailgating =here a breakfast to get you started:

  Angel Biscuits:

  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 2 T lukewarm Water
  • 5 1/2 C Flour
  • 1 t Soda
  • 3 T baling powder
  • 4 T Sugar
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1 C  Shortening
  • 2 C  buttermilk

In a Cup dissolve yeast in water. In a large bowl Mix dry ingredients  cut in shortening ( Mix should look like course meal). Add yeast and buttermilk.Knead and roll dough out (about 1/2 inch) thickness. Cut will cutter and Bake at 400 (12 to 20 minutes)

  1. This is interesting! I’ve never heard of using yeast in biscuits.

    1. It makes them a cross between a yeast roll/ and a regular buttermilk biscuit
