My family makes these every year for the birds outside. I Glue a stick or dowel to the top of the pine cone then tie your twine tightly to a pine cone . I .use peanut butter to cover the pinecone and dip in bird seeds. But you can use other things like
- Suet or lard, softened.
- Vegetable shortening, such as Crisco.
- Sunflower seed butter, such as SunButter.
- Coconut oil.
