It’s time for Wellness Wednesday ! Blueberries !
Blueberries are high in antioxidants, fiber, and nutrients. Together, these may support your skin’s ability to fight inflammation related to acne, psoriasis, eczema, and premature aging.

Nurture Glowing Skin
Blueberries are jam-packed with vitamins and antioxidants, making them an incredible natural skin treatment. To make a nourishing blueberry face mask at home, mix 1/2 cup of crushed blueberries with 1 cup plain yogurt. Apply for 20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
Promote Hair Growth
Craving long, luscious locks? Blueberries may be your Holy Grail! The chemicals in blueberries stimulate the hair follicles, thereby boosting hair growth. Treat your tresses to a simple DIY blueberry hair mask: Blend together 1/4 cup of blueberries, one tablespoon of olive oil and one tablespoon of honey. Liberally apply to hair and rinse out after about 20 minutes
Blueberry Smoothie

- 1 cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)
- 1 (8 ounce) container plain yogurt
- ¾ cup 2% reduced-fat milk
- 2 tablespoons white sugar ( honey instead)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Blend the blueberries, yogurt, milk, sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg in a blender until frothy, scraping down the sides of the blender with a spatula occasionally. Serve immediately.
I always have frozen blueberries and raspberries in the freezer and have a great gluten-free recipe for fruit muffins that I top with coconut milk yogurt. These are my go-to super fruits. 🙂
