Welcome to my Tuesday ! I post about school, kids and our local Library I volunteer at.
Today’s Bell Ringer ? School in the digital world. . Has it changed the way you teach ? Yes or No? How much does it impact you?
Technology :
C ynic would say that technology has done nothing to change education. However, in many ways, technology has profoundly changed education. For one, technology has greatly expanded access to education. … Today, technology enables forms of communication and collaboration undreamt of in the past.
My story :

As a Mom of a kid that went to school virtually through high school it impacted us in a big way. Since all of his classes was taught online and books where e books. As a college student his assignments are on line and lots of his books are on line too.If you have taken an on line college class you have seen the change in education.
But what about younger Kids. Do you do the more classical hands on approach or do you mix in some digital in with your learning ? Our online school does a mix of book with lots of reading and book work as well as online work.
In traditional public school my son as early as Kindergarten had computer time. And has he got a little older he went to computer classes. He was lucky enough to be in a public school that the University help supply the computer labs. But I know that it changes by school budget with pads and computers in classroom.
Computers in the Classroom : Yes or No?
Computers improve classroom learning as long as teachers and students are equipped to reap the full benefits. Internet access allows students to conduct comprehensive research and communicate with other education providers beyond the four walls of the classroom. Computers also run specialized software programs that enable teachers to provide tutoring or personalized instruction for students who need advanced or remedial educational resources.
