Leviticus 22:31-33 New International Version (NIV)

³¹ “Keep my commands and follow them. I am the Lord. ³² Do not profane my holy name, for I must be acknowledged as holy by the Israelites. I am the Lord, who made you holy ³³ and who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the Lord.”

Leviticus. Leviticus, (Latin: “And He Called”), Hebrew Wayiqraʾ, third book of the Latin Vulgate Bible, the name of which designates its contents as a book (or manual) primarily concerned with the priests and their duties.

Meaning :

Both priests and people, even all the commandments delivered at this time, as well as all others; these they were to observe and take notice of, and keep them in memory, and put them in practice: I [am] the Lord;

Numbers:

“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you.

The Book of Numbers is the fourth book of the Hebrew Bible, and the fourth of five books of the Jewish Torah. The book is called Numbers because at the start God ordered a counting of the people (a census) in the twelve tribes of Israel. … Therefore, God punished them by making the Israelites travel forty years before they could settle in Israel, the promised land.

Meaning:

This familiar benediction has long been used by the church (and Jewish communities) to conclude services of worship. But it is wise to remember that this blessing stands at both the beginning and end of our life with God and in the world.  This blessing is designated for Israel’s time of departure from Sinai, and was to be used daily throughout their journey. This is a blessing for a journey!
