Sunday’s dinner

Happy Sunday! I grew up in a typical South Louisiana household. Sunday morning we got up early had breakfast and went to church . Out at 12 oclock and had lunch.

Later our church changed time (oh my!) And we went earlier and out by 10:30. So Mom made big brunch with easy early dinner. I carry on that tradition with my family. So what ever time you eat : Welcome to my Table !

Easy Chicken Parmesan

1/2 C grated parmasen

1 tsp fresh basil

4 chicken breast filets

1/2 C oI

3/4 C spaghetti sauce (homemade or not)

Spices: garlic powder, paprikica, salt and pepper

Lightly coat chicken with oil and spices and lightly brown and transfer to baking pan. Top with pasta sauce and cheese and bake for 350 for 45 minutes.

Serve with Pam’s homemade noodles and a side salad and fresh French bread.

I am lucky here our local grocery makes fresh pasta weekly to sell. I love including it in family meals. But you can always use boxed noodles.

  1. The dish sounds really tasty. When growing up we’d be out of church at about 11:30, we’d come home and have morning tea – tea and cake usually and then about 1pm we’d have a roast dinner. There were ten kids and my parents. Now I get out of church at 10:30 so just a nice morning tea. I don’t eat dinner till evening!
