Happy Thursday! Today’s post is all about Books, Reading and Education.

I was Blessed to have a Mom that was a Reader.

She loved Books and loved teaching others about reading and books. She volunteered in the local school system reading to children in the classrooms.
She also helped raise the funds for our community library. And help filled the shelves with books and volunteered at the desk . I still volunteer at the library in her memory. We miss you, Mom. 😔

Freedom to read. Is our goal at our community library. Making books and computers available to all. It’s owned by our town and staffed by volunteers. And financed by donations and grants. It’s also used as a meeting place, health clinic, and voting place.

Choice of Education:
I am blessed to live in a country where education is available to all. We choose to educate my son at Home using a virtual online public school system. And he was able to attend the college of his choice. University of Louisiana at Lafayette is a tree lined campus celebrating its 125 anniversary. He’s an English major planning to teach high school students.
