A traditional dim sum brunch includes various types of steamed buns such as cha siu bao (a steamed bun filled with barbecue pork), dumplings and rice noodle rolls, which contain a range of ingredients, including beef, chicken, pork, prawns, and vegetarian options.

Basic Dim Sum Etiquette if eating out!
  1. Share! As with most small plates dining, the more people you have and the more dishes you order, the better the experience will be for everyone. …
  2. Start with tea. You should be given a pot of tea as soon as you first sit down. …
  3. Ordering. …
  4. Cart chasing. …
  5. Utensils. …
  6. Want rice with that? …
  7. Do tip

So you can’t get to a restaurant or have no family to make it ( yes hubby family makes it homemade) -What’s a South Louisiana Girl to Do ?   I buy It frozen from the Asian Market so I always have it on hand ,  All you need is a bamboo steamer & you are ready to go.

Cha siu bao – these are filled with BBQ pork. My absolute favorite. Lisa
