Welcome to Tuesday : Homemade Holidays. is here- with DIY Fire starters for your fire pit or fireplace . These are fun to make with recyeable objects you will probably have on hand. These are great family projects for gift giving or scout projects.
- Wax ( can be new but I used old candles)
- Pine cones, scrap paper
- Cinnamon sticks,rosemary, spices
- paper cup cake liners
Line cupcake tins with Liners. Place small pinecones,rosemary ,cinnamon and then pour melted wax until full. Let harden.
Waxed dip Pinecones
- Pine cones
- Wax
- string
- salt
Melt wax in a double boiler. Tie a string around clean pine cones and dip completely in wax. Make sure all areas are covered. Then while drying -sprinkle with salt. Salt with sparkle and glow in different colors in the Fire.
Dryer lint : paper rolls
- Empty toiled rolls
- dryer lint
- wax paper and string
Stuff the rolls with dryer lint. Then wrap with wax paper and tie ends with string.
Packaging for gift giving: Clear plastics bags, boxes or jars make great containers.
