Thursday it’s all about Pie – but not the sweet kind here :
Chicken Pie
- 1 Chicken boiled & deboned
- 1 stick butter (melted)
- 1 can mix vegetables
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup broth from chicken
- 1 Cup self rising flour
- 1 Cup milk
Cook chicken De bone & save a cup of broth to be used later.
Pour melted butter in a baking pan. Layer Chicken,vegetables – then mix chicken soup/broth & pour over chicken/vegetables. Stir together flour/milk & pour over. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
Tamale Pie
- 1 lb ground meat
- 1 C onion /chopped
- 2 cloves garlic/minced
- 2 /8 oz seasoned tomato sauce
- 1 c milk
- 2 eggs/beaten
- 1 can whole kernel corn/drained
- 3/4 yellow corn meal
- 2 tsp chill powder
- salt/pepper to taste
Cook meat ,onions,garlic until done. Stir in rest of ingredients .Cook at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
