I hope everyone had a great New Year holiday ! And ready for a wonderful 2021. Today on my blog I am chatting about family goals and how to make New Year resolution you can accomplice. So let’s get started…..
So does your make New Year resolutions or goals every year? Are they forgotten after the first week?
Here is some that we set for 2021 :
- Cook one new thing each week. Eat veggies regularly.
- Build a better budget.
- Join a club.
- Create a cleaning schedule you’ll stick to. Keep clutter out of the kitchen.
- Drink more water
- Volunteer
- Donate old clothes.
- Explore new hobbies.
- weekly vision board
This is a mixture of my personnel goals and family goals. As a family we need a family budget ( kid in college) ,volunteer more and clean out closets ( origination) . I am still working to clear out my Mom clothes and stash. Some I will keep other items I will donate or give to family members. Getting rid of the old and make room for the new.
I will be cooking more healthy meals (exploring vegan meals ), drink more water( not a big water fan) , and explore new hobbies and clubs here at home. Hobbies and clubs is always a fun one but sometimes hard to stick to them for any length of time.
Need Tips for making Family Resolutions that works:
- Setting reasonable goals
- Make them specific and concrete
- Follow-through
For example, if your goal is, “we should spend more time together as a family,” you should be more specific like, “Every Friday is game night.” Then, every Friday, decide on a specific time that the whole family will get together. Details like time and day of the week help you keep track and accomplish your goal. Need suggestion on tracking your goals?
How I am tracking Tracking my goals> Bullet Journaling :

What is bullet point journaling?
Think of it as a next-level diary for not only writing, but drawing. Instead of blank, lined pages, a bullet journal (or BuJo, for short) contains sections to log daily to-dos, keep a monthly or weekly calendar, jot down notes, track both physiological and mental health, plus record both short- and long-term goals
This is a simple set up that I can track water, menu suggestions , and what’s scheduled . I am doing mine in a travels notebook so I can carry it with me. Lisa
Vision Board:
Sometimes you need pictures to motivate you. So I decided to make a weekly Project life page as my vision board. With goals and my word of the year.
Great resolutions!

This is a great way to think about goals, they have to be specific. My goal is to work out (walk, zumba, ride bike etc.) at least four times per week.
