Friday’s Fave Five : 9/10/21

It’s Friday, time to look back over the blessings of the week
with Susanne at Living to Tell the Story and other friends.

This has been a fairly quiet week, but that’s a good thing. Here are some highlights:

Cool Weather : The weather in South Louisiana has been Hot and Humid but we actually had a break with cooler weather at night.

Health; we have all been healthy. Even my Son on campus who just finally got his shots.

My oven : You don’t realize what you miss until its broken . Now I am bake to baking.

Amazon purchase : My stove is old but I was able to get an oven replacement part here and sent to my house.

Good friends : That takes care of most of my yard work. They have been a blessing with there help and machinery.

  1. Praise God for good neighbors and friends to help with yard work and that your son got the vaccine!! THat’s a HUGE blessing. I’ve never been to Louisiana but I’d love to get to New Orleans some day. My husband was on a business trip there several years ago and loved it. (we live in eastern New York about 2.5 hours north of NYC).

  2. Mr grandmother lived in Louisiana (Pineville) when I was a child, and we visited there often. Beautiful state! Sadly, she passed on a long while back, and my last aunt on my father’s side who lived there passed away a couple of years ago.

Yay for cool weather and good health! Glad your oven is working again. My husband is one to search for parts and try to fix appliances before looking for a new one. It’s wonderful to have good and helpful friends.

    1. It took my husband a while but its a 20 year old oven and this is the second replacement element but Amazon had one to fit and now working. I know Pineville area Lëës Ham sandwiches and Pie was always a hit.

  3. I’m glad you have neighbors to help with yard work.
And wow! You got your oven fixed. Yes, we don’t appreciate what we have until we don’t have it.
Have a good (and cooler) weekend.
