Invite an Alien to Live with You Day

It’s Thursday and today I am celebrating ; Invite an Alien to Live with you day ! So today I am inviting some kids over to watch Mork and Mindy and make some crafts.

Invite An Alien To Live With You Day is celebrated every year on July 21, to remember the four-year-long Pam Dawber and Robin Williams show “Mork & Mindy.” The show is about an alien from the planet Ork named Mork, played by Williams, on a mission to Earth to study human behavior

Alien Crafts :

Alien Paper bag Puppet

Paper bag
construction paper
glue

Using a small paper bag decorate as an Alien. Let the kids make a bunch to visit Earth.

Alien :

,Cup, paper, scissors and your favorite adhesive along with whatever art supplies you have on hand.

Start with his head and ears which are circles and an oval. Then move on to his body and whatever details you like! Glue on a Cup so your alien with stand up.

UFO ALIEN Spaceship :

Supplies:

Two paper plates
Clear plastic cup
Green construction paper
Markers
Pencil
Scissors
Hot glue gun (or strong craft glue)

Start by taking your clear cup and measuring the height of it on your green construction paper. This will help you know how tall you can make your alien! Take your pencil and draw out a cute little alien with a straight line at the bottom. Now you’re just going to draw a trapezoid coming off that bottom line. This will be the base that makes our alien stand up. Go ahead and cut out the alien and it’s base. Next you’re going to make the base of your ufo. Take your two paper plates and glue them together at the edges so the rounded sides are facing out Decorate and When it’s all decorated, go ahead and put some glue on the base of your alien and glue it to the center of your ufo. Next you’re just going to put some glue on the edges of your clear cup and set it down over your alien. Then add just a bit more glue around the outside edges to secure it in place, and you’re all done!
