Fire Prevision Month : Fun at school

We spent some time with the kids at school talking about Fire Prevention and making these easy crafts with the kids in the class,

  • White toilet paper roll
  • Small section of an egg carton
  • Red paint
  • Paint brush
  • Yellow foam
  • Red foam
  • Black foam
  • Black marker
  • Two google eyes
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch

How to make your Paper Roll Fire Safety Dog Craft:

  1. Cut the egg carton section so it resembles a fire hat and paint it red.
  2. When the paint has dried, cut a small piece of yellow foam to glue onto the hat. Use the black marker to write a number on it.
  3. Glue the hat to the top of the toilet paper roll.
  4. Glue the google eyes under the hat.
  5. With the black marker,draw a nose, mouth and eyebrows.
  6. Cut a small tongue from the red foam and glue it to the mouth.
  7. Cut two ears from the black foam.
  8. Glue the ears to either side of the toilet paper roll.
  9. Use the hole punch to make some spots from the black foam.
  10. Glue the spots onto the dog.

  • red paint or markers.
  •   small cutouts of people from magazines, coloring books or hand drawnblack construction paper or 2 lids from milk jugs
  • lid (TOP) of an egg carton
  •   black marker
  • Cut the lid off an egg carton.Paint with Red. Cut out of construction paper wheels and windows. Glue on after paint dried.
