This Easter candy made in Louisiana is only found at Easter time. If you can’t find it make a copy batch…

Louisiana favorite candy
  • 4 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large can pet milk
  • 1 large jar marshmallow creme
  • 1/2 pound butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup or more of nuts
  • 3 packages chocolate chips

Directions

Combine sugar and milk in a heavy bottomed pot, bringing to a rolling boil for nine minutes.

Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallow creme and butter. Beat together.

Add the chopped nuts and vanilla.

Pour in a buttered pan and place in the freezer for one hour. Cut in squares and return to freezer.
