Welcome to Friday’s Cookie Exchange – Today’s Treat is Fudge

Microwave Peanut Butter Fudge

  • In a 4 Quart Pyrex measuring Cup
  • 1/2 C white Karo syrup
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • ! C raw penutes
  • Cook on high 4 minutes – Stir
  • Microwave another – 3 minutes
  • Stir in  -1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 Tb;s oleo
  • Microwave for 1 minute – Add 1 tsp baking soda – Stir
  • Pour into a buttered dish & let set up.

 

So your a purest -the old fashioned kind of person –

  • You need a heavy sauce pan .
  • 2 -1 ounce unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 5 Tablespoon of white Karo syrup
  • Heat to a soft ball (235 degrees)
  • Remove from Heat -Add Butter
  • Cool slightly and Beat till stiff
  • Add Nuts & vanilla

Can be dropped on Wax paper or poured in a buttered dish to set up.  Lisa
