
With the Theme of Birthday in Mind – Today’s food post my Mom’s choice for Birthday Meal :
Mom request – My hubbies BBQ Ribs slow roasted on the grill with sauce , Mom Cornbread Dressing Recipe & corn maque choux
Corn Bread Dressing
- 2 pkg jiffy cornbread & 2 package (regular cornbread mix)
- 11/2 lb ground meat
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 lg onion chopped
- 1 bell pepper chopped
- 3 stalks celery chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic chopped
- 11/2 tsp parsley
- 3 can chicken bouillon
- salt & pepper
Make Cornbread -set aside. In a skillet wilt seasoning & brown meat. Add bouillon and cook a few minutes – Crumble Cornbread & Add to the meat mixture. Mix and taste- adjust seasoning. You can serve now or great to make ahead and freeze. Lisa
