Welcome to my Sunday’s table and chat. We all gather after church for dinner and family news. So grab a seat at the table and join in :
On the Menu:
Stuffed Bell peppers
6 med bell pepper
2 lb ground meat(veal or turkey )
2 Tbsp oil
4 slices of bread soaked in milk
2 strips of bacon , crisp and crunbled
1 onion chopped ,small
2 ribs of celery chopped
In oil cook meat and drain. Add rest of ingredients and cook until vegetables are soft. Slice bell pepper and stuff with mixture. Top with bred crumbs and cheese . Or optimal : tomato sauce Place in baking dish with small amount of water. Bake at 450 until pepper are done.
You can make ahead and leave covered in fridge until ready to bake after church.
What to serve with it?
Brown rice, carrots, salad and bread
1 C rice, uncooked
1 stick butter
1 C water
1 can of mushrooms, and consemme
1 onion chopped
Saute onion in butter. Remove onion and add rice. Slowly brown rice and add rest of ingredients. Place in uncoverd dish at 350 and stir while cooking.
Family News :
We spent Friday helping out at our towns monthly mobile pantry from Second Harvest and FFB. Its always great to give back to those in need. Hot and Humid but everyone was thankful for the help. Lisa
