Make Kitchen Planters

reblogged from Rag Tag Magpie
I recently planted some chilli plant seeds. They came in a pretty little bucket but once they started to shoot I had to separate them out and ended up with a load of ugly little plant pots on the kitchen window sill
Because they need light and my window is pretty small I needed to create some planters that don’t take up too much space so decided to recreate some painted planters that I made for our wedding.
For our wedding I painted a load of tins white and filled them with scented herbs – they were also a popular take away when guests left!
You make them using empty tin cans that have been washed completely. Perfect for the kitchen.
To add a bit more interest I bashed some of them with a hammer which gives them a crumpled, quirky look and means that if you plan to place a…

Happy Memorial Day-Coloring Freebie!
Sharing from greeting star
I wish everyone a joyous day full of family, friends, and freedom. Thank you to all who have served! Please enjoy this flag I created with Adobe Illustrator which you can color. o do this, right click on the image and select, “Save image as” and then choose the folder you want to save it in. Never use “Copy image” because the quality of the image will be degraded if you resize it before printing it. Also, if you plan to color it, you will want to use a laser printer so the ink will not run when it comes into contact with the medium with which you choose to color the flower. I have read that some people set ink jet images with a heat gun and it doesn’t run when coloring it, but I never had any luck with that method.

By Shay Savage
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Mafia/Suspense
Release: June 20th
Blurb
My father owes a debt.
I am his currency.
I’m supposed to marry the recently crowned mafia king of the Foley family as repayment for my father’s transgressions. I don’t understand why the Foleys would want me, but I’ve grown up in a crime family, and I know the ugly consequences of not doing what you’re told.
But as the wedding date approaches, the deal changes, and I’m about to be wed to a man I know nothing about. In fact, I don’t even know his last name.
Instead of becoming a mafia princess, I’m marrying the henchman.
Deklan.
After one look at him, I’m not sure I’ll survive the wedding night.
