Valentine Gifts from the Kitchen
It’s might be Mardi gras here but Tomorrow is Valentine :
So today is gifts from the Kitchen : Divinity Fudge
- 21/2 C Sugar
- 1/2 C water
- 1/2 C Karo syrup (clear)
- 2 egg whites
Cook everything except egg whites to:
- (260 degrees), stirring only until sugar dissolves.
- Meanwhile, as temperature of syrup reaches 250 degrees, beat egg white till stiff peaks form.
- When syrup reaches 260 degrees, very gradually add the syrup to egg whites, beating at high speed with electric mixer( 4 to 5 minutes)
Add nuts and drop in greased cookie sheet to harden. Let cool & cut into squares.
