Fall is finally here in Louisiana and the stores are filled with Applies . Today my breakfast recipe is a favorite from when we lived in Michigan and picked apples at the orchards doing the fall .
You can also serve this as a dessert -just add a little whip cream ! Lisa
- 6 eggs
- 11/2 C milk
- 1 C flour
- 3 T sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 lb butter
- 2-3 apples -peeled and sliced thin
- 4 T brown sugar
Mix batter in mixer by adding -eggs,milk,flour,sugar,vanilla,salt & cinnamon. Will still be lumpy in looks. Set aside. In a large baking dish – melt butter in the oven – when melted place apple slices in the butter and ladle batter over apples and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes until they puff up and brown. Lisa
