Kitchen tips :
Is an apple fritter a Doughnut?
An apple fritter donut is basically an apple cut on rings, dipped in a delicious, simple batter. … Their shape and size are similar to a donut and so is the batter the apples are dipped in. However, the batter isn’t yeasted.
Why are my apple fritters soggy?
The overcooked exterior and undercooked interior indicates that your oil temperature is too high or your fritters are too large. You should be able to solve your problem by frying at a lower temperature and/or making the fritters smaller. 340°F-360°F seems to be the temperature used by many recipes for fritters.
How do you reheat apple fritters?
To make these ahead of time or to reheat leftover fritters, warm in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 5 to 6 minutes and dust with additional confectioner’s sugar.
