Fabric Crafting then & now

Do You Sew or Quilt ? Do Needlework of some kind? Did you learn it from someone in your family ?

Fabric Crafting – is something I enjoyed  with my Mom and Grandmother.

Sewing is the craft of fastening or attaching objects using stitches made with a needle and thread. Sewing is one of the oldest of the textile arts, arising in the Paleolithic era.

Some Classic patterns from the Past-

My Mom from an early age learned to Sew – and made all of her clothes and ours when we were children . As a Mother and Wife on a limited budget this was a big saving.  She later got a job managing a Fabric store in town and did a great job. A Modern Women of her time.

Today I do manly small project, quilts for friends and charity projects.  This quilt was made for my grandmothers nursing home bed when she got ill. Made from a Quilt Project from JoAnn fabric. It has been used and washed many times but the memories are still with us.  Lisa
